Potato Block Printing
About this event
Did you know you can create beautiful block print designs with just a potato? Join Envision Unlimited Members and Humboldt Park staff as we carve potatoes into unique stamps to use on paper and a community tablecloth. The community tablecloth will then go on display at the Envision Unlimited Westtown Center during this year's Open House Chicago festival. Let's create something together! Open House Chicago is a free annual public festival organized by the Chicago Architecture Center. It features over 200 sites that are of architectural, historic, and cultural significance in Chicago. These sites will open their doors to the public for the weekend, giving visitors an inside look at what makes each site so special. Westtown Center will be one of the featured sites, showcasing the progressive work curated by adults with disabilities who attend this program. Stop by to tour the program space, enjoy the artwork, and meet some of the members of Westtown Center. This program is in partnership with Envision Unlimited! For adults, teens and kids 10 and up!
