They meet in the post-war capital’s increasingly fraught, increasingly cosmopolitan stir. Things get complicated. Inspired by the Book Review and Lecture Forum during the early years of the historic Hall Branch library, Harsh Readers Circle meets the third Saturday of every month (excluding December) in the Vivian G. Harsh Research Collection at the Woodson Regional Library. The circle is a book club devoted to reading and discussing Black literature, fiction and non-fiction.
