CHI+AI Summit

Artificial intelligence is reshaping how people learn, work, and connect. Chicago Public Library is convening partners across government, education, nonprofits, and industry to support citywide AI literacy and responsible adoption. The CHI+AI Summit is a “tech conference for the people,” connecting residents to year-round learning, resources, and partnerships. This full-day, public-facing civic summit brings together trusted institutions and practitioners to explain how AI is already affecting work, government services, education, creativity, and civic life, and how Chicagoans can engage with it safely and productively. Featured speakers will join CPL from: AI Safety Awareness Project, Nvidia, City of Chicago's Department of Technology and Innovation, AWS, Google, Microsoft, Public Narrative, Arts Alliance Illinois, Old Town School of Folk Music, Chicago Public Schools, Common Sense Media, DPLA, and more. Programming will include: Moderated Panels: Explore AI and Public Awareness, Government Applications of AI, Workforce Development, Creativity, Youth, and moreAI Demonstrations & Learning Sessions: Build knowledge and confidence through hands-on workshops and events.Exhibitor & Community Partner Showcases: Connect with digital tools, in-person support, and recommended technologies.Facilitated Discussions: Focus on ethics, access, equity, and public trust, empowering residents to make informed decisions.
