English linked sword dance

Step into the rhythm of steel and tradition with English Linked Sword Dance. This striking folk dance brings together precision, teamwork, and centuries of English heritage. Dancers move in tight formations, each holding a sword linked to the next, creating intricate patterns, locks, and woven figures that flow seamlessly with the music. The highlight comes when the swords are joined to form a star or "lock," lifted high in a dramatic display of skill and unity.Energetic, powerful, and deeply communal, English linked sword dance is as much about cooperation as it is about spectacle. No solo stars here - every movement depends on trust, timing, and connection with the whole team.Whether you're drawn by history, live music, or the thrill of learning something bold and different, this is your chance to be part of a living tradition. Join us, take a sword, and become one of the links. Bookings required by contacting Sheree on 0403 202 298 or via email.
