Exhibition: Landscapes of Dreams, Metaphors and Reality

The art exhibition by the staff of Vantaa City Library is centred on the themes of the new library’s interior design: forest, nature and landscape. Landscapes of Dreams, Metaphors and Reality – An art exhibition by the staff of Vantaa City Library, 15 October – 15 November 2026 This joint exhibition by the Vantaa City Library staff art collective has been created around a pre-selected theme to celebrate a joyous occasion for us all: the opening of the Jumbo Library. We chose the forest, nature and landscape as the theme for the exhibition, as these have also been a source of inspiration for the interior design of the Jumbo Library. We have explored this theme from our own artistic perspectives using a variety of tools and media: photography, digital painting, acrylics, ink and oil paints, mixed media and tufting. We have been captivated by stories, dreams, free association, poetry and the world of the Kalevala, with its characters and animals. Come and have a look!
