Picture This: You and AI

Discover how easy and useful Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be in everyday life. In this workshop with educator Tom Welch, you’ll learn how to restore old pictures, remove unwanted backgrounds or people, and more. You’ll also become familiar with ways to save time, spark creativity, and help solve real-life problems. What to bring: • A smartphone, tablet, or laptop. • An AI app installed on your device (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or another AI assistant). ChatGPT will be used for the demonstrations. • A few favorite photos on your device that you’ll use to experiment. No experience is needed. If you can take a photo with your phone or send a text, that’s all you need to get started. This program is a partnership with Edgewater Village Chicago, Friends of the Edgewater Library, and the Edgewater Branch Library.
