About this event
Experiment with poetry and find creative ways to express yourself! We read a poem, learn poetic terms, and write our own poem in a fun, welcoming space. Come write, listen, share, or just try something new. Workshops are led by Maya Tsingos, a local poet and medical student at Rush University. She is a 2026-2027 Chicago Area Schweitzer Fellow spending the year teaching poetry to youth across Chicago. For teens 14 to 16. How to AttendRegister by 4:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL. Due to space limitations, please include the total number of children and adults as attendees when you register.
