Join us for an informative session designed to help you navigate Medicare with confidence. Whether you're new to Medicare or a long-time beneficiary, this event will give you the tools you need to make informed decisions and protect yourself. What We'll Cover: Medicare Updates: Learn about the latest changes to Medicare coverage, costs, and benefits for the upcoming year.Open Enrollment Guidance: Understand your options during Medicare Open Enrollment (October 15 – December 7), including how to review and switch plans, compare Medicare Advantage vs. Original Medicare, and evaluate Part D prescription drug coverage.Fraud Prevention: Discover common Medicare scams and how to spot them, tips for protecting your personal and Medicare information, and what to do if you suspect fraud or identity theft. Who Should Attend: Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, family members, and anyone wanting to better understand their Medicare options and how to stay protected. There will be time for Q&A following the presentation. Presented by Gregg McAllister of the Chicago office of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), a federal agency in the Department of Health & Human Services. Mr. McAllister works in Local Engagement, educating the public on CMS programs and working with partners and shareholders. He lives in the Edgewater neighborhood.
