About this event

Witch hats, vampire’s bane, glow-in-the-dark ghost fungus, poisonous Jack-O’-Lanterns and bleeding tooth fungus. There’s a whole world of freaky fungi to celebrate and learn about ─ whether it’s because they have spooky names, creepy looks, or deadly toxins. Join us for spooky, scientific fun to hear about some of the world’s most monstrous mushrooms and frightful fungi. Presented by Liz Weinstein, president of Illinois Mycological Association, an organization that studies fungi. She also is a mycological photographer and Isle Royale National Park fungal survey scientist.For anyone 6 and up.
