Art in the Library: Families Together
About this event
The Artist's Studio at the Library is proud to present the next series from the Art Institute of Chicago. Families can attend any session to create mixed media art with their children. This session focuses on artists Mary Cassatt, Margaret Burroughs, Romare Bearden, Suzuki Harunobu and Jacob Lawrence. Once you have your inspiration, kids will draw a picture on watercolor paper and then fill in using markers, colored pencils, paint brushes and water, patterned paper and more, to create artwork inspired by one of the provided examples or your own. We will then gladly display your artwork in the library. Supplies will be available on the children's side of the library, at a designated art table. For kids 3 to 13.
